When Mountains Dream

Born from quiet moments spent observing the Canadian Rockies, When Mountains Dream is a personal exploration of mountains as living presences, each with their own personality, their own story of transformation, silent strength, and enduring power.
​
These paintings reflect the interplay of light, shadow, and imagination: how even in darkness, the peaks seem to hold the sun’s memory, dreaming in the soft glow of moon and cloud. Through this work, Liwen invites viewers to experience the mountains not only as scenery, but as something deeply alive.
