"To raise awareness of the visual fine arts in Jasper, Canada, by supporting the development of an artistic community."

The Jasper Artists Guild (JAG) was founded in 2001 when a small group of local artists agreed that Jasper, Alberta needed an organization to promote visual fine arts.

In the early days, works were shown on the walls of vacant commercial spaces, restaurants, and at the Jasper Museum.

By 2003, JAG had transformed Jasper's Heritage Fire Hall into the popular Brushfire Gallery where artists exhibited for nine consecutive years.

In 2016 JAG opened the Jasper Art Gallery at the Jasper Library and Cultural Centre. Our two storey-high, modern gallery is bathed in natural light featuring a beautiful river rock wall, polished concrete floors, and a state-of-the-art lighting and hanging system.

Countless art lovers have visited our landmark galleries and enjoyed JAG' group and solo exhibitions, over the years. We are indebted to the many who bought works and to those who have left a donation in support of our goals.
