Biography

Amy Sallenbach is a multi-disciplinary artist who has purposely left the constraints of gravity behind, one way or another, via careers in arts and aviation. Born in Calgary, raised in Lethbridge, she graduated from the Alberta University of Arts in 2001, narrowly escaping attending her own final graduating jury critique by going into labor immediately after installing it. This timely birth earned her the honorable distinction of 2nd best excuse to get out of your finals.

Her work focuses on integrating a sense of connection with the spirit of invention, boundaries, emotional journeys, dream states, and the human condition. She has exhibited throughout Western Canada and in private collections coast to coast. A new addition to the Jasper community, she continues to have excellent timing.
